Welcome to HandsOn. By creating an account or using handsonassets.com (the "service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use HandsOn. By signing up, you confirm that you are. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
You own the content you put into HandsOn — your assets, work entries, photos, documents, and notes. We don't claim any ownership of it. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely so we can run the service for you (including sending necessary context to AI providers when you use AI features).

HandsOn includes AI-powered features (assistant, autofill, spec lookup, parts suggestions). AI is helpful but not infallible. It can be wrong. Always verify safety-critical information — torque specs, fluid types, electrical work, firearm maintenance, structural questions, medical/veterinary advice, anything you'd take to a professional — against authoritative sources (manufacturer manuals, qualified technicians) before acting on it. HandsOn is a tracking and reference tool, not a substitute for expert advice.
Some product links in HandsOn are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps fund the service. Affiliate participation does not influence which products the AI recommends — recommendations are based on common usage, asset compatibility, and price tier.
You can share assets with other people by email. When you share, you choose whether they get view-only or edit access. You're responsible for who you share with. Shared users can see and (if granted) modify the asset's data, but they cannot delete the asset itself or change sharing settings.
We aim to keep HandsOn available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, fix bugs, or roll out updates. We're not liable for losses caused by downtime.
Today, HandsOn is free to use. If we add paid features in the future, we'll tell you about pricing before you're charged. We may change features, limits, or these terms over time — meaningful changes will be announced in the app or by email.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or pose a risk to others. After deletion, your data is removed within a reasonable time period; backups may persist for a short window before being overwritten.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or always available, or that AI outputs will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandsOn and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
